Photographer’s Note
Near the gardens of Taj Mahal stands the important 16th-century Mughal monument known as the Red Fort of Agra. This powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. The construction of the Agra fort was started around 1565, when the initial structures were built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, and subsequently taken over by his grandson Shah Jahan, who added most of the marble creations to the fort. The forbidding exteriors of this fort hide an inner paradise. There are a number of exquisite buildings like Moti Masjid - a white marble mosque akin to a perfect pearl; Diwan-E-Am, Diwan-E-Khaas, and numerous other buildings. Agra Fort, an excellent example of Mughal architecture, is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India.
In the Foreground is the Diwan-I-Am or Hall of Public Audience, a result of earliest manifestation of Shah Jehan's love for marble. It was the place where the emperor addressed the general public as well as the nobility. Constructed between 1631-40, the huge assembly hall measuring 201'by 67' has flat roof and two arched red sandstone gateways to the north and south. The façade has an arcade with nine bold arches and the hall is divided into three aisles.
In the Background is the Moti Masjid also called Pearl Mosque, constructed in mid-17th century. Its shiny domes are built with light white marble which lends it a very velvety look and adds a sparkle to its beauty. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan used Moti Masjid as his private mosque.
I liked the parallel perspective of the Diwan-i-Am on the right and the marble lotus domes of the Moti Masjid on the left. Hope you'll like it well...

Namaskar Angshu da,
brilliant point of view. Nice composing of this two patterns of architecture in a same frame. The repeatation of arches gives here dynamism. Those people helps us to understand the dimension of this architecture. Light and sharpness adequate. Depth outstanding. Well done. Khub bhalo chhobi.

very good play with the layers and the beautiful architecture in this photo. You could impress such nice colors and textures on the elements and the tight framing makes every single detail important in the composition. Great job!

Sabaidee Angshuman,
I really like the beautiful combination of the color here, the earthy brick red, the golden beige, and the deep blue sky. The exposure is really nice, there’s a glow in all the colors and the texture of the architecture, very well managed. The DoF is incredible here, both the columns and the mosque in the back are equally sharpen with great clarity. Beautiful shot. My complements.

Hello Angshuman,
this is a very curious composition. Interesting juxtaposition of two diagonal rows: a row of domes in the distance an a row of pillars in the foreground!
Very good light management :)

Hi Angshuman,
The line of columms and the line of domes are giving a sense of perspective to the composition. The point of view is allowing us to see the details and colors of the architecture of the corridor, it is also sending our eyes toward the domes in the background. The afternoon light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Namaste Angshuman,
A great framing here. You have looked for the dynamism of the perspectives of the columns and of the domes in a good parallelism, which gives a great graphical result.
The good light, the shades, the beautiful colors and the people add more quality even to the photo.
Good composition, and an excellent work.
Best regards,
Josep

Bonjour Angshu.
C'est un angle assez insolite pour mettre en valeur deux perspectives, celle des colonnes à droite et celle des coupoles à gauche.
Bon dimanche !

Hello Mr. B,
This is another excellent shot, a masterpiece for many TE-members, just an excellent photo from you, especially with the first rate note. As soon as I saw the mention of Agra and the 17th century, I wondered whether it was not a creation in the time of Shah Jahan. What I like best is the regularity of colonnades that seem to be so pervasive in India, the warm colors and, of course, the resolution.
Warm regards from Virginia,
Bulent

Hello Angshuman
Very interesting choice of composition.
you have two very distinct subject, in two different areas. Because they are at two different heights, it works out well.
you provide us with very good DOF, and sharpness, evidenced by the textures in the stonework.
great photo
Cheers
