Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken in the Alhambra, at a room called the Mirador de Lindaraja. It's a close up of the marvellously detailed plaster carving, with the curly designs known as arabesques, dating from the 1300s. I could spend weeks here just looking at all the intricate design work. They don't build them like that anymore.

How many memory cards did you fill up in the Alhambra Paul? There is just so much great detail - you captured this little corner very cleanly and sharply.

At the time I visited the Alhambra, I didn't have a camera and had to look after a just-turned 3 year old and an almost 1 year old while Toni took the photos. I guess if I visited it again, I'd have fun judging by your photo. I just love the tight composition with the curve going from corner to corner and the intricate detail.
