Photographer’s Note

One more covered bridge from Lancaster County, built over Conestoga river.
Built by Levi Fink and Elias McMellen for $1219 in 1859. It was also known as Yohn’s Mill Bridge.
Bypassed by a new concrete bridge in 1973, the bridge is located on private property 1/4 south of Highway 23 and Pool Forge Road in Caenarvon Township. Historical records tell us that before James Buchanan became president, he met his fiance at Pool Forge, but she died before they could be married and he became our country’s only bachelor president.

Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep in film 'Bridges of Madison county' came into my mind looking at this bridge however I know this one is in Lancester county Pennsylvania. But you not assosiations cannot be limited and the lovely atmosphere is similar.

Hello Brano,
These covered bridges are always also astonishing. The image is well made and gives a sight on the very pleasant brook. The light and the shades create a pleasant pastoral environment. Good realization, clear and coloured naturally. Cheer.
