Photographer’s Note

These cycle tourists are climbing up one of the highest Crimean summits, Angar-Burun (1453 m) at the Chatyr-Dag mountain range. They are on a sporting tourism route of the fifth (very high but not highest) degree of complexity. Such rout should take not less than 14 days, be of 700 km in length as minimum, and have at least 10000 m of the total ascent. Not everybody can stand such commitments. I identify such people as “strong men”. But some of them hold another opinion calling themselves “idiots”. Maybe they are right…
