Photographer’s Note
not really sure where this was taken. i do remember that it wasn't far from Nairobi and it was at a large open market selling clothes (I presume a lot of it was recycled from the West.)
I also remember being very quick in taking this group, particularly as the yellow shoulder wrap suddenly fluttered in the wind and the man offered a noble profile as he scanned the distance for the bus. I do realize it isn't an optimum group shot since two people are hidden, but as I said, I wanted to capture the image before the dynamics changed.
It is one of those photos that had stayed in my mind over these thirty years and I am happy to share it with you now that I am scanning my old slides.

Hi Klaudio.
First, I didn't know you'd ever been to Kenya!
Second, your shot just appeared at the head of the gallery page 1, and I might be the first to critique as well as set a record for you - quickest critique ever recorded for a new upload!
Third, you have a very good memory for your age!
I like the shot too, another good scan from the vaults. Pity that probably winsome young woman in the nicely wind-ruffled red dress is facing the other way, but it's still an engaging ensemble. Obviously the wind was really strong that day, judging from the other girl's yellow towel. I'm impressed with the sharpness on this scan.

Andrew

Dragi Dado,
tvoja svedočenja iz čitavog sveta su dragocena. Kada vidim datum ovde, shvatam da si neprestano bio u pokretu i da je Planeta mala za Tebe. To je tražila tvoja duša pre svega.
Puno pozdrava dragi druže i srećno leto!

Hi Klaudio,
interesting photo in wonderful retro colours. Very well that you have left the colours like this. I like the formation here.

Hi Klaudio,
I like those people waiting for the bus. But I think the colours could be better. - I know ait's a scan from an old slide - I tried to make a WS. I hope you like it.
Kind regards,

Hi Klaudio,
Very colorful clothes, these people are lucky living near to the market and easy to buy beautiful clothes, distinct old photo, thanks for sharing.

Hello again Klaudio,
I missed this photo! It's because now I don't come to TE as often as before :(
I think you captured the right moment, and even though we can't see a few people's faces, all the same it conveys the atmosphere, it shows the reality "over there" (+ colours of their clothes, too!) :)
Kind regards,
Elena

Hi Klaudio,
nice people captured in their natural action.
Very shap and very clear. The light is very useful here in giving the emphasis and ontrast.
regards,
Foozi

Hi Klaudio
Another scanned image from the past. Looking at old photos certainly refreshes the mind - you seem to be able to recall your thought processes of that moment. The man's face in full profile is a real feature and you were lucky to capture the yellow wrap before it fluttered out of the frame! Tfs this scan, Marlene
