Photographer’s Note
Between Mansfield and Jamison there are many rural properties. Beef cattle seemed to be the most common form of agriculture. The drought that has affected Vistoria in recent years has been felt here, but when I visited it was receiving some welcome rain.
Where properties are some distance from the main road, their post boxes are grouped together for the convenience of the posties.

Hello Steve,
A nice row of post boxes of different shapes. I wonder what "some distance from the main road" could mean in this part of the world. Several kilometres? I do hope that valuables are not sent through the mail, considering the look of some of these boxes.

Gert

Hi Steve
For me, this is so typical of the Victorian countryside I rembember. The colours and the rust. Excellent pov of an original subject. Excellent depth.

Steve,
You have really good depth in this picture and the PoV is fine. I like the vivid colors and the saturation.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Steve.
I love these 'classic' Australian letterboxes, which you have captured with that very wide angle lens of yours (I hope to buy the same one very soon) in the way that the lens should be used. The way the eye moves down the line from the larger than life one to the end, and then follows the gentle curve of the road into the distance is superb. I always wonder about the numbers! I know on some roads that part of the number indicates the distance from a major town, but I'm not sure about these.

Andrew

Hello Steve, I'm glad someone else finds these letter boxes along the country roads worth stopping for. A good assortment, almost anything goes as long as it does the job. Nice diagonal, colours look natural.
Cheers
Santo
