Photographer’s Note

Agonda, a 3km long stretch beach, lies about 37 kms from the town of Margao (the capital of the south province).
It is one of the most isolated beaches of South Goa, located in Canacona district, close to the old fort of Cabo de Rama.
The best way to reach this beach is by motor bike.

This might not be a typical beach snap, but the group of people in different postures walking along the rocks creates an interesting result. A good work.

Je n'aurais jamais imaginé avant de voir la localisation que nous nous trouvions en Inde ! Ce pays semble décidément plein de surprises ;o)

Le groupe de personnes fait évidemment toute la différence dans cette image. Donnant une échelle aux roches, et animant gaiment le paysage.
Original et bien présenté.

bonjour marylin,
l'un des six semble suspendu dans l'air de ce paysage assez étonnant quand on connait les plages de sable de GOA.

Margao I know well, I spent there monsoon in 1987, but I never went to Agonda, what a pity. The place looks interesting, a beach of huge rocks. That's really different. Perfect DOF due to the stones, sharpness is appropriate and the colors are vibrant. I like these group of people walking and jumping from rock to rock, that adds life to your pictures - well done

un facette différente de se que l'on connaît de l'Inde
une jolie prise du groupe
dommage pour la Thailande, sa m'aurait vraiment fait plaisir de te rencontrer, peut être une autre fois, en Inde qui sait :-)) ou en Belgique, oui je sais c'est pas toujours le top pour le temps et oui c'est le nord :-) A+

Bine vu. Une composition à première vue toute simple mais très belle avec un superbe effet graphique donné par ces rochers et une belle harmonie dans des tons doux. La file de promeneurs donne une idée de l'échelle mais surtout beaucoup de dynamisme à l'image.

Very interesting rock formations just off the coast. It seems they provide opportunities for rock-hopping. You timed this shot perfectly while one person was in mid-air. Well done

Hello Marilyn,

There you go, motorbike again! I admire the way you travel around on the motorbike with a free driver. I heard that you can even ride a scrambler motorbike on the rocks like these ones here. Worth trying:))

Very sharp image which looks like taken at mid-day and the exposure is very well controlled. I like the fellow in mid-air, just before landing on the rock. Its the human elements that make this an even better shot.

The tiny boys in their action makes this shot IMHO. While the rocks are interesting no doubt, its your timing which is critical here as one of the boys is in mid air! Good work...I like it!

Looking at the thumbnail I was thinking for a moment that these people were walking on elephants, but fortunately they walk on the rocks without whiskey for so far if I can see.
I like these composition of jumping people on the grey rocks.

Superbe composition de ces rochers au milieu de la mer. C'est tout simple, bichrome, mais très attrayant comme image! Les personnages semblent prendre du bon temps; leurs petites silhouettes sont du plus bel effet, comme des Lilliputiens au pays des géants!

Si on teint les rochers en rose ce serait une vue de la côte de granit Rose à Perros Guirec.
Intéressante scène animée par la présence humanoïde, ceci permet d'avoir une évaluation de l'échelle des rochers.
