Coming from Gamla Stan you reach Riddarholmen (Swedish: "The Knights' Islet"). Here could see some beautiful houses dating from the 17th century. An impressive bulding here is the church Riddarholmskyrkan, the royal burial church since the 16th century and where a number of Swedish monarchs lie buried.

An excellent high POV and good light which gave nice colors. Sharp as necessary and well framed with off centered church spire. The exposure is fine with the white boat not OE, wich is not always easy!

Achim, interesting shot. I am not opposed to progress but someday I would like once again to see a cityscape that does not include the yellow towering crane monstrosities. On the other hand I think this fine old ship in the fg is awesome and while needing some TLC it is sign that all is hope is not lost, the preservation of the past is part of ensuring the future I think. Great shot.

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of the different buildings. It is clear and sharp. The sky is sending alight which brings out the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

The steeple against the sky is very dramatic. Interesting contrast between the ancient church and the nuclear reactor tower (?). The way the ship fills the waterfront is also interesting; I wonder if it is a cruise ship
