Father and son... Photo

Photographer’s Note

During a motorcycle trip in southern Maharashtra, we reached Vengurla, a quiet fishing town on the Arabian sea. This fisherman and his son caught my eye, he probably took the kid out, to get used to the conditions on board, as he will eventually follow his father's steps, and become a fisherman too...
See Vengurla by satellite... This was shot in the laguna, behind the white beach, short before sunset (exif has wrong time as even my camera is jetlagged...)

Au cours d'une ballade en moto dans le Sud du Maharashtra (l'état de l'ouest de l'Inde dont Bombay est la capitale, et qui compte plus de 100 millions d'âmes à lui seul...) Nous nous sommes arrêtés à Vengurla un petit port de pêche, au bord de la mer d'Oman (ou d'Arabie, les deux termes sont acceptés).
Ce pêcheur et son fils ont attiré mon objectif...
Voila Vengurla depuis le satellite... La photo a été prise dans la lagune, derrière la plage, peu avant le coucher de soleil...(l'heure de l'exif est fausse)

Un métier qui se transmet de père en fils et on peut voir que l'éducation de l'enfant commence dès son + jeune age! Belle lumière qui a donné un bon rendu des couleurs ... et beaucoup de douceur qui se dégage entre le petit garçon et son père!

Beautiful shot, The square format work well here. I like that you give it good amount of space in stead of cropping it too tight. Beautiful colors and light. the blue reflection in the water is like brush stroke of a painting. the father and son are just perfectly place in your composition (though I think it's a girl) Technically all is great. I've never heard of the place before! Good use of the long zoom here highlighting the fisherman & his boy, in good low light. The framing is also very well done, with a part of the blue boat in the frame. Well done!
