Photographer’s Note

The Pyrenees are a range of mountains in southwest Europe that form a natural border between France and Spain. They separate the Iberian Peninsula from the rest of continental Europe, and extend for about 430 km (267 mi) from the Bay of Biscay to the Mediterranean Sea.

This shot was taken in the central Pyrenees whilst on a week's walking holiday near the French town of Bagnères-de-Luchon.

A beautiful pyrenean picture . I like the composition . May be , it would have been better , if the horse was looking to the pther side . But you can't choose that !

Hi Chris,

Very good shot of nature. Horse, though is in the opposite direction, but giving a live effect to the photo. congrats.

Hi Chris,

A beautiful shot which appeals to my love of walking in the mountains. It looks very peaceful and I like the composition with the horse on the left and the mountains on the right. It's also nice to know there are natural places left in Europe, although I guess the presence of the horse means that civilization is close by.
