Photographer’s Note

From I-5 Freeway at the Castle Crags state Park exit this scene can be found at or near the 3.50 mile marker on the road. You will notice a couple of signs stating the mile marker as you will be facing away from the Crags when you are driving. Sunset is a beautiful time to see these rocks from this viewpoint, even though this image was taken before sunset in the afternoon.

A very inspiring shot of this formation. The exposure was nicely handled with good detail in the rocks which are well contrasted against the deep blue sky.

Wooohhh, beautiful picture with a beautiful sky that makes it especially polarized over the mountain white. Wonderful perspective and composition with the trees framing the mountain.
