Photographer’s Note
This lovely lady is the Roseway. The steeple in the bg is "The Old North Church" where the lanterns were displayed to alert Paul Revere and and William Dawes the the "regulars" (not British) were coming by sea.
The Roseway is a wooden gaff-rigged schooner launched on November 24, 1925 in Essex, Massachusetts. She is now restored and listed as a National Historic Landmark.
She is currently operated by World Ocean School, a non-profit educational organization based in Camden, Maine.

Hello Greg,
This is a very nice composition of this fine ship in these surroundings. A well considered foreground and some nice diagonal and vertical lines.
But I do think that in your ambition to avoid overexposures at any time, you may have gone a bit too far the other way. Using the curves to make it a bit lighter and adding some more contrast would have given this photo even more brilliance.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Greg.
This portrait of a lady is well framed and placed in the middle of a very deep shot.
I like the buildings on the foregrund, contrasting with the old boat.
Best regards.

Hello Greg ,
A clever framing with the wooden elements , for this beautiful sailing ship . I like the contrast with the modern buildings , and you could have done an interesting tighter view with only a part of the sails , and the white church tower : I make a WS to try to show you what i mean .
Best regards

Hi Greg, Interesting contrast of the ships and modern building in the fg. First of all, splendid colour of the sails, very catching eye, specially against the blue sky. I like this white church, looks fine among big buildings. And you, were you also on another ship?
Kind regards

Beautiful capture of this double masted beauty whose sails show a bit of gold and red in the varying light.
The foreground rigging makes a lovely lead-in to this beautiful Boston Harbor image that enjoys a stunning historical backdrop.

Really and original and fine pov for this old style schooner. The sideway light increases the chromatic contrasts and the skyscrapers make a fascinating background for it. It's not easy to see on of those schooners sailing with full sails...
A fine and interesting capture,
Best greetings,

Hello Greg,
Now, I like that; viewing one boat through the rigging of another one! It really sets the scene!
What a classy sailing boat.
It's nice how its bows are parallel with the the f/g rail. It gives a sense of movement.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Greg,
It looks to me like you've put a lot thought of thought into this series of boats. Naturally I just had to start with the best, coming late to the scene.
Getting the whole boat is a major feat all by itself. Capturing it under sail, while framing it with the boom, block and the North Church steeple puts it way over the top.
Of course your standards would require that it be captured without overexposure, which is another major feat in such a complex, waterfront composition...and you still captured excellent detail throughout.

Hello Greg!
That's another beautiful picture where the composition with many elements related to sailing and the buildings in the bg is really attractive and impressive!
Sharpness, exposure and colors are very good too!
Although it seems that it was a bright sunny day, the image is a bit hazy, but that fits perfectly well to the image!
TFS - congratulations!

Hello Greg,
This image is almost anachronistic. This superb sailing ships is remarkable, like the east its history. The arrow of the church is well tallied on a dark skyscraper in background. The light is it also, remarkable. I also like the colors. A great realization. Congratulations.
Have a nice day.
Cordially.

Hi Greg,
this is a wonderful schooner, the red sails reminding me of the irish hooker. The tackle gives a very good FG and the old North church a great BG. Very well done.
friendly regards to Boston
