Photographer’s Note
Guzhen, small town China
The population is an estimation of 63,000
Here are two locals castnet fishing, often the woman rows and the man casts. The west of Guzhen Town faces a sub-stream here called Xi Jiang, which forms part of the Pearl River basin.
Always a skill to cast the net to gain the largest circle offering the chance to catch a fish. This man appears to be an expert. The woman also times her brace of the small boat to help stable the it as he casts.
The day had been raining and sky dark. To keep the natural look of the image it is viewed in its dark condition * lightened slightly.

Hi David,
Nice timing. I really like the action shot. Loved to have seen what he caught. Thanks.

Hello David, nice timing on your part to capture the wide open net in this cast. Conditions overall seem a little dark, but judging from the darker areas of the shot (which exhibit good detail) this is probably pretty realistic. Nicely done.
Thanks, John
