Photographer’s Note
Just around the corner from the square with the statue the St. George and Dragon in my previous post there is this small triangular square called Brända Tomten. I have uploaded a photo from it taken in late March here. You can read information on the square in the note of that photo. Now, when I returned to the square in summer, it indeed looked different in warm summer light, with the green tree and filled with tourists.
In WS you can see another view from the same square, taken a few minutes earlier. There you can see the ivy mentioned in the note of that earlier photo.
No wonder this tiny square is the favourite square of many Stockholm Gamla Stan visitors. It is also said to be the one, which among all Stockholm squares resembles an Italian piazza the most.

Stockholm is so human-sized. What a pleasure to view these little squares with such inviting shade, benches, and interesting things to contemplate.
Lovely lighting and point of view in this shot. I feel like I am right there. Thanks, Judy

Hi Lasse,
Hey, I know this place... Well, I wish I knew it physicality, but I remember well your previous post of it. Indeed this has a much Mediterranean look. I like very much the effect of the sun filtered by the foliage, rendering a wonderful estival, warm atmosphere. You chose the POV very wisely and did a remarkable job with the light management.
I say the same about the WS.

José

Very good capture Lasse!
(complimentary to the one already posted previously)
I like this shades/lights mixture and the exposition is really perfect! The red building with the white stripes in the background makes it graphically attractive and the presence of all the people makes it very alive and interesting. It's a very dynamic photo with a fine sense of perspective and depth. The atmosphere is really a summer one, relaxed and with warm colours.
Well done,
Donato

Hallo Lasse!
Yes - it looks much more beautiful than in winter. A really cosy place in this big city. Your photo transmits this atmosphere very well. I especially like this wonderful play of light and shadow here.
Greetings from hot and sticky Germany!

Hello Lasse,
This is a lovely daily life shot, the tiny square is so pretty.
The dappled sunlight, the people walking and relaxing paints a superb portrait of Stockholm.
It has been more than forty years since I visited this beautiful city and this capture brings those memories flooding back, tfs.

Hej Lasse,
I missed this picture before. You have managed very well to handle the difficult light. No part is underexposed and nothing is overexposed. That is quite impressive. And the atmosphere is certainly cosy.
Hälsningar,

Hej Lasse.
Finally back from my Journeys.
I like this image from the old town, In a way you made it look much more continental than it is, maybe it the tree shadows and the crowd that takes us south.

Hello Lasse,
I wonder how I could possibly miss this interesting composition?? :) IMHO, Gamla Stan is best without tourists walking about, but sometimes tourists become part of an interesting scene, too :)
I always like your choice of POV and composition. This is one of those best ;) I especially like the game of light and shadows on the house walls! this makes the photo dynamis and really nice :)
warm regards,
Elena

Hi Lasse. The place looks cozy and inviting, particularly if it's a hot day.I particularly admire the way you have captured all the details and kept the ambiance. Not easy when there is strong contrast between light and shade.Regards. Klaudio.
