Photographer’s Note
I don't know the variety, but this is a close-up of the leaves and seeds of a fern I saw in Hawaii. I loved the translucent colours and patterns as the sun shone through the backlit leaf. I used the macro setting on my Sony Cybershot, and moved the lens within about one centimeter of the subject.
