L'Archange, work of the sculptor Casimir Ferrer, on the bridge of the Consuls of the 14th century, in Villefranche-de-Rouergue.

Casimir Ferrer, painter scultpor and engraver, was born in 1946 in Trébas close to Albi.

Villefranche-de-Rouergue is a french commune, located in the department of Aveyron of the Midi-Pyrénees area, populated of 11919 Villefranchois in 1999, distributed out of 46 km², that is to say 259 hab./km².

In 1252, to thwart the town of Najac, seat of the seneschalsy of Rouergue remained too faithful to the county of Toulouse after the takeover of Capétiens, Alphonse of Poitiers decided to create to few kilometers, a new city, to fix at it the seat of his administration, and frank, i.e. equipped with tax exemptions, which broke the prosperity and the influence of Najac.

Located on banks of the Aveyron river, it is a "bastide", city built on a squared level around a central place, bordered of arcades. One finds there many beautiful residences of Gothic style or Renaissance.

Une scupture résolument moderne un peu à l'image de certaines représentations de Don Quichote que j'ai déjà vues... peut-être est-le même créateur qui les a sculptées ???
Un bel élan vers le ciel en tout cas, bleu de chez bleu pour l'occasion.

This is a well composed shot of this unusual statue. The off center placement of the statue works well giving the shot a sense of direction. The blue sky provides a nice backdrop for the statue. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

très jolie capture de laine sculpture. Le ciel bleu fonctionne ainsi que fond pour améliorer les tu formes de celui-là oeuvre d'art. Excellente composition!

Interesting capture de cette sculpture qui menacent son bras vers le haut vers le ciel, plutôt que d'un Archange, je dirais un guerrier.

O enquadramento está excelente, tomando a escultura um pouco descentrada. A deifinição da imagem está muito boa e as cores são magníficas. O resultado final ficou excelente.

interessante immagine dove risalta bene la silhouette della statua verso il bel cielo azzurro, come se volesse bucarlo con la spada. Gestione della luce e dello sharp superba, che ci consente di ammirare tutti i dettagli della statua. Ottima composizione, complimenti!
