Photographer’s Note
Last Saturday,May 30th at Kananaskis Upper Lake.At least here there still was a lake; the Lower Lake was almost dry, with just a kind of river flowing on his bottom. I`ve never seen it that low.
Funny; I`ve seen people going up carrying canoes on their trucks:)
I tried to remove the ice to get a decent reflection and because my hands got frozen, my folks laughed on me...
Anyways, again, this is an exposore-bracketed shot processed in PhotoAcute,Lightroom and Photoshop.
The results from Capture One and Canon`s DPP come close but that`s all.

Nelu,
This is a great shot of this icy lake! The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The great blue sky provides a nice backdrop for the shot.

Hello Nelu,
A wonderful unusual and clear view of the frozen lake with its pattern of ice growth. And preserving the fantastic green colour you see onb summer views. A pleasure to look at.

Paul

Hi Nelu,
The way the ice crystals have formed raised up like that reminds me of a science experiment from my old school days when you ran sound waves through water, amazing phenomenon.
As always a perfect capture, the mountains are so sharp I feel like I could reach out and touch them.
Superb.
Regards
Peter
So, Capture One and DPP couldn't match it eh, very interesting. I have a friend, a pro photographer, who is very disappointed in Capture One, he can't get sharp pictures, ring a bell.

Be careful, the freezing compartment is opened!!!
This is an amazing phenomenon very well captured!
Using a very good equipment and PP you created an impressive image. I like the colours, the clarity and the sharpness. Wonderful place!
Have a nice weekend,
Athanasios.

I love the composition but I'm subtracting a point because the transition between the two exposures is too abrupt - you can see the sky changing colour unnaturally just above the mountains to the left.
