Photographer’s Note

Every year I visit thisn place several times because it's a great place to watch birds. It is called ' Boetje van Kees' and it has a great number of birds.
Every year there are breeding more cormorans and the geese are increasing in numbers too.
It is situated in the dunes of the North Holland Dune Reserve near Castricum.

It is a lovely nature scene with the geese peacefully “socialising” and doing their business. You did manage a fantastic light which highlighted the bright colours of the water plants framing the scene. Well done.

Hello Gerrit,
That looks like a wonderful wetland stocked with many species of bird and waterfowl. Quite reminiscent of my own Narrabeen Lakes. The water looks to be unpolluted and pristine, congratulations to whoever the local authority is that is responsible for keeping the waterway in such good condition.
I like the concentration of foreground ducks and further into the shot the elegant swans. Also the reeds that frame the shot so nicely.

Yes, this must be a wonderful place. You show it in a very favourable light which even emphasizes the beauty of this lake. I like the impression of wideness here and the feeling of absolute calm ... (perhaps the colours are a bit oversaturated)

Looks a very peaceful place to spend a few hours communing with nature and watching the birds. It is a fine composition with a lovely atmosphere to it; the light is particularly lovely. Pleasing natural looking tones and good sharpness throughout.

That's a lovely, pleasant, peaceful, calm, attractive and beautiful picture!
Saturated colors and brightness truly please me!
The viewpoint was excellently chosen and the composition, though simple, was cleverly done! These green plants by the lower foreground, the "duck', the texture of the water, the horizon line in the background, everything contributed for the beauty of this photograph!

des lumières un peu forcées sans doute, mais ceal ajoute de la féérie à ce grand étang ou petit lac, royaune des canards. Une belle profondeur accompagnée d'une sensation de calme et de quiétude.
