Photographer’s Note

Walking along the beach, we found a low lying tree which offered some much need shade from the blistering sun. While cooling off underneath it's canopy, I noticed how the sunlight reflected off the sand and illuminated the branches from below. I took this picture in sepia inorder to better capture the contrast between light and shadows. Now that I am looking at the picture again, it has a striking eerieness to it. What do you think?

Yes, certainly eerie, and good choice of tinted B&W. Interesting natural formation you've spotted here. A bit OE in the bottom right, could be otned down a bit.

From the thumbnail I tought it to be an illustration from a fantasy-strip. Is reality stranger than fiction...?
To accentuate the wrigling trees, I suggest to jank that contrast high (see WS)
very well hung ! (no pun ;-))
