Photographer’s Note
In the short time we spent in Memphis, I discovered that you need to have a certain thing about your psyche to really get along on Beale Street. To really blend in with the crowd, to be part of the scene. I've decided that it is "Funkadelicacy".
What do you mean "That's not a word..."
It is now! Say it with me - "FUNK-a-DEL-a-CASEY" Accent on "FUNK." See it, Say it, be Funkadelic!
Now go get that Parliament 8 track tape you have left over from the 1970's and boogie on over here. I've got something to show ya...

Hi Reed,
Of course that's a word. You wrote it, so it has to be a word. ;o)
Funny and touching portrait - I love the reflection in his glasses. Greaat framing, too, but then you always do that perfectly.
Have a great day,
Claudia

Hi Reed, I love this guy. How did you get him to pose for you? The shallow DOF is excellent and I love the sim lighting, it creates a pretty funkadelic mood in my books. Really good work here mate, have a god weekend, Lisa.

This is really funky stuff, Reed.
Serve it as it is, or with ketchup and mustard...
It doesn't matter...
It's touchy...It's human...It's simple...
And, the most important: It's an environmentally friendly.
Yippee !!!

Hello Reed! I have seen his type many many times in the States, many times in Vermont I guess and I am almost sure he does organic gardening and has just recently become a father of a baby boy :))) but this is all in my head, so it does not mean a thing and maybe it is totally different. Maybe I have been too long in the VT woods and had too many Ben & Jerry ice creams and visited too many little farm markets where they breast feed on the street ... LOL. Oh I am a little hippie too sometimes, at least I buy organic this and organice that if I can. Great portrait, Reed, I likt the dark mood and the reflections on his glasses. He looks a little sad but this is sometimes just the moment you took it and he was dancing wildly after to some blues music. Great shot ... have a wonderful weekend ... and no no ... no soup today, a little thunderstorm but the weekend looks pretty good :))) Loved your comment, thanks so much ... Barbara.
