Photographer’s Note

Hafta sonu biraz uzaklarda dolaştım. yolum Antakya'nın Arsuz ilçesine düştü .
Oradaki yerli halkla konuştuğumda enteresan bir sıkıntılarından bahsettiler.
Televizyonda bir dizi varmıi adı ASİ ben seyretmiyordum.
Bu dizi Arsus da çekiliyormuş hatta bende bu çekimlerin bir kısmını ekteki bölgede seyrettim.
Neyse konuya gelelim dizide sadece Antakya'dan bahsediliyormuş hiç Arsuz'dan bahsedilmediği içinde yerli halk bu işe sitem ediyor.. haberiniz ola...

ANTAKYA

Antakya is located on the banks of the Orontes River (Turkish: Asi Nehri), approximately 22 km (14 mi) inland from the Mediterranean coast. It enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot and dry summers, and mild and wet winters; however due to its higher altitude, Antakya has slightly cooler temperatures than the coast. The city is in a valley surrounded by mountains, the Nur Mountains to the north and Mount Keldağ (Jebel Akra to the south, with the 440 m high Mount Habib Neccar (ancient Silpius) forming its eastern limits. The mountains are a source of a green marble. Antakya is at the northern edge of the Dead Sea Rift and vulnerable to earthquakes.

The plain of Amik to the north-east of the city is fertile soil watered by the Orontes, the Karasu River and the Afrin River, the lake in the plain was drained in 1980 by a French company. At the same time channels were built to widen the Orontes River and let it pass neatly through the city centre. The Orontes is joined in Antakya by the Hacı Kürüş stream to the north-east of the city near the church of St Peter, and the Hamşen which runs down from Habib-i Neccar to the south-west, under Memekli Bridge near the army barracks. Flora includes the bay trees and myrtle.

gerçekten çok güzel bir yermiş.tabi fazla tanınmamasıda ilginç.harika bir bakış açısı ile yansıtmışsınız.özellikle iri ağaçların görüntüsü nefis elinize sağlık.

ben de ilk defa haziranda bir kongre için gideceğim antakyaya muhtemelen... en çok görmek istediğim yerlerden biri hatay... ve mümkünse halep... siz de suriyeye doğru uzandınız mı... yoksa böyle nehir kenarında mı takıldınız sadece>:P... selamlar burak bey... yemek fotolarını workshoplara yüklemeye başladım... şimdilik sadece zeynep ve burcununkileri yükelebildim...

İki yıldır niyetlenipte bir türlü gitmeye fırsat bulamadığım yerlerden Arsus, doğasını çok güzel yansıtmışsınız. Tebrikler.

Bonsoir, mon ami Burak,
J'ai regardé avec intérêt le lien présentant Arsus à travers une paire de lunettes de soleil !
Un bien joli cadrage montrant les arbres pliés par le vent, tandis que les bateaux ne semblent pas inquiétés par cet élément naturel.
Une très belle vue bien agréable à contempler.

Allah bilir çekim için beldeden izin bile almamışlardır.İnsanın bulunduğu yere sahip çıkması işte böyle başlıyor.Birileri gelip etrafta kazı yapsalar darma-duman etseler etrafı kimse sesini çıkarmıyacak.Ayni tarihi eserlerin tahrip edilmesi gibi.

Merhaba Burak Bey, notunuz çok ilginç. Bahsettiğiniz diziyi ben de seyretmek isterdim ama mümkün olmadı. Fotoğrafı belki bu şekilde çekmeyi tercih ettiniz ama bence çok daha iyisini çekerdiniz. Ağaçlar Akdaniz'le Amanos Dağları arasında adeta bir perde gibi set oluşturmuş ve alanı oldukça daraltmış. Bu fotoğraf, biraz daha açıkta çekilseymiş hem denizi, hem ağaçları, hem de arkada uzanan dağları daha dengeli şekilde görürmüşüz.

Another very beautiful landscape shot, beautiful day with some wind, I can see the tree bending over. Beautiful clouds and blue sky. Good sharpness and clarity, good composition. The exposure may be just a little bit too dark, especailly on the the trees. Could just be the colors of the trees.

The row of boats creates a certain interesting motive and there is a good cromatic contrast with the trees and sky. But honestly, if you want to hear my direct opinion, I find it rather flat. There are no distinct grounds to give a sense of depth.

Hello Burak,

Something that seems like strong wind seems to be bending the trees!
However I don't see anything indicating wind on the water, no visible waves hehehe...
Anyway the scene is well composed with sharp fine details, and a few contrasting colours can be observed!

That reminds me of my travels in Turkey in the 1980s, I really like the people and the country, but since being based in Asia, I did not return to your home country. I guess I have to plan a return trip soon.

Your beautiful picture has vivid colors, the boats in the foreground and the trees in back boost DOF. Its nice composition and execution
