Photographer’s Note

The day of Easter this year in the province of Ragusa was beaten by bad weather.
I was out to snap a few photos at a famous procession held every year in Scicli, but it was impossible because of heavy rain.
Are thus recovered in the car and when I returned home I saw another man with a colorful umbrella.
I quickly pulled out his camera and I took in full automatic, the result quality is not so good, but I hope that you will love the colors ...

a very well presented composition..the silhouttes set and balamce well against the splash of colours...a very good contrast in the elements...never seen silhouettes set this way..against bright colours..

rain or rainbow man, that's the question? ;-) I like the people with colorful clothes or, like in this case, with a very colorful umbrella. Especially when it's a grey and rainy day they add a note of happiness which makes us smile.

Ciao Giorgio,mi sembra parecchio pasticciata....molto sgranata...i colori vanno un po' a spasso,specialmente quelli dell'ombrellino verde sulla sinistra.Passando alle cose positive sei riuscito ad avere dei colori caldi scegliendo il controluce che ci ha consentito di vedere alla perfezione le gocce...insomma senza infamia e senza lode...sai che io sono sempre onesto....un saluto dal tuo rompic...preferito che anche oggi ha assolto ai suoi doveri ;-) Buona serata,Luciano.

it is wonderful how can a little detail like colourful umbrella make such a difference, how can create such a pleasant and vibrant composition of otherwise cold and not so friendly environment. Wonderful blast of positivness comming from your photo, a real treat to look at. It carries bright atmosphere with it, like this man carries his bright umbrella.

qui a farla da padrone, oltre all'ombrello ripreso con una luce stupenda con la gamma dei freddi in primo piano con i caldi in netta opposizione, ci sono questi poetici atomi vaganti della pioggia esaltati dalla luce. Il personaggio è solo accessorio. Peccato i graffitari che hanno imbrattato quel muro. La foto è magnifica. Complimenti!

- sarà pure un rompic... ma non l'ho mai sentito dispensare gratuitamente le sue impressioni- si vedono e per questo non raggiunge l'eccellenza dell'altra. Resta comunque una composizione di alto livello.

a parte i colori, indubbiamente piacevoli, ciò che mi piace di più è l'effetto grana che dà una maggior valenza artistica all'immagine. A volte le foto catturate al volo riservano queste piacevoli sorprese, sempre che dietro ci sia un bravo fotografo che non lascia nulla di intentato. Complimenti, è veramente bella!

belli i colori, certamente, ma soprattutto l'effetto pioggia.
Se fosse stata più nitida probabilmente avrebbe avuto meno fascino. Il taglio dentro al colore è molto azzeccato.

You went hunting rabbits and you didn't catch any, but you got a very nice duck. :D
The colours and graphics of the umbrella are quite catchy, but I like also the dark silhouettes and shadows and the rain. The less good quality doesn't bother me, I even like the grainy appearance, that seems to match the moody atmosphere.

Souvent les photos sous la pluie sont meilleures que trop de soleil et c'est la cas ici avec la présentation de cette magnifique photo. Allora faceva cattivo tempo in Sicilia quanto nel sud della Francia il giorno di Pasqua.
Le campane si erano trasformate in ombrelli multicolori!
Il risultato è eccellente, mostra che i tuoi occhi occhi ed il tuo incosciente lavorano molto rapidamente poiché questa fotografia è stata presa senza riflettere.
Mi piacciono questi momenti fantastici dove si scatta perché si sa che c'è qualcosa di fantastico. A volte il risultato è mancato ma non è il caso qui.

this one is really great, Giorgio, especially with the clearly visible droplets of rain against the bold colours of the umbrella. I don't have a problem with the quality here, I actually quite like the somewhat grainy feel, I find it adds to the feeling of ugly weather and emphasises the contrast with the colours. nice :)

Dear Giorgio

This photograph is very very sharp that you can see even the rain hitting the umbrella, which is the real focal point of the shot. On a rainy day this umbrella sets an incredible highlight with very bright and vivid colors - must be not used a lot so far, otherwise the colors would be fading due to the sun. To make it even more impressive, the man holding the umbrella is almost reduced to a shadow. Well done
