Photographer’s Note
An elephant, along with a few other silhouettes, and I can't be brought to photograph it - I just need a moment to take this in. When something is so perfect, you wonder if it is real. Then you admire the real wonder.
It is amazing how the wild life strolls along together!
Obviously, I did take a photo. Things were less perfect then - I didn't have a 1000mm lens, so I had to crop when I got home, but I'm not complaining. I lived the moment and the photo is a memory of those minutes to last forever.
(taken with a borrowed Canon 300mm f/4L lens and a Kenko 1.4x teleconverter)

Dan,
This is a great silhouette / profile! I would love to see this cropped down to 1:2.5 ratio and re-submitted as a panoramic. Then we would be able to look at the larger version to see the detail of the elephant.
TFS!

Hi Dan,
A great African feeling we get from this shot as the silhouetted elephant crosses the grassland. Love the warm pinky/orangy colours and I like the clouds at the top of the shot giving a bit extra.

Hi Dan, a beautiful sunset shot, I like how the trunk of the elephant is curved. Excellent composition. TFS, Alex
