Photographer’s Note

The three people looking at the other person, perhaps from different generation who's wearing jeans.. :-) maybe, I don't know.. I was just taking random picture in front of Potala Palace.

During winter, Lhasa flooded with pilgrims. Some of them walked to Lhasa, some perhaps hitch hike or sometimes you can see them squashed into a bus they hire leaving a monastery.

very nice shot Artesia. i like how most of their feet are dangling. the color contrast is nice too. and the generational change, as you note in your note, is also interesting. it also looks like it might be a Han/Tibetan encounter.

This shot caught my eye, despite being rather dark. I like the point of view and the way you caught an intriguing moment to illustrate what you say is a common daily scene. I think it would be even better if you lightened it very slightly (see workshop).

This is a nice and rather amusing group photo. I like the many details such as hats, masks, prayer-wheel and rosaries and I love the clear, simple background of grey and almost golden yellow.

Hi Artesia, A great collection of people, the two elders to the left look a little shocked about something, I love their outfits & the rough textured wall behind creates a nice backdrop, a well chosen POV, overall very good, kind regards Wilson.
