Photographer’s Note
Sun has just risen over Varanasi and its ghats, stairs that lead to Ganges river, are already full of colourful peaple. That's what it's all about, Mother Ganges gives the city its mystic atmosphere and makes it probably the holiest city in India. For Hindus, a natural death in Varanasi enables your soul to directly access Nirvana. At dawn, sun throws its soft light on the ghats and enlightens children, women and men going down to the river for their morning ablutions.

Very beautiful picture, where the colored stairs (very nice colors bythe way) are a perfect background for the subject.
Very accurate composition

Hello Quentin,
There are a million photo opportunities in Varanasi. This is a fine example. A simple but stunning composition, making good use of the colourful steps. You were very lucky indeed to have such clear space around the woman. (Unless you have cloned out the crowd ;-))
Best regards,
Gert
