Photographer’s Note

Loriga (pron.IFA [lu'ɾigɐ]) é uma vila e freguesia portuguesa do concelho de Seia, distrito da Guarda. Tem 36,52 km² de área, 1 367 habitantes (2005) e densidade populacional de 37,51 hab/km². Tem uma povoação anexa, o Fontão.

Loriga encontra-se a 20 km de Seia, 80km da Guarda e 320km de Lisboa. A vila é acessível pela EN 231 e pela EN338, estrada concluída em 2006, seguindo um traçado pré-existente, com um percurso de 9,2 km de paisagens de montanha, entre as cotas 960m (Portela do Arão) e 1650m, junto à Lagoa Comprida.

Olá Tiago. Já estive 2 vezes em Loriga e 'falhei' a praia fluvial o que é uma boa desculpa para lá voltar :-). Bem interessante a vista e bom enquadramento com a grande pedra e a pequena casa, parecendo apenas faltar-lhe um pouco de contraste pelo que fiz um pequeno ws. Um abraço. Paulo

Hello Tiago,
you have found a hard but beatiful land and taken with good composition but some technical weakness. (For so much details is 90 kB file size simply too small, may be this led to the weak sharpness in the background. Former I had similar troubles as well. Conclusion: make use of the 300 kB upload limit!)
I see a kind of competition has been started about this picture, therefore I also have made my version, you will find it in the WS, I hope you will like it.

un endroit très calme et bien situé, ta photo nous donne envie de s'y asseoir. Je trouve que la composition penche un peu vers la gauche.

Um lugar muito interessante com todos estes penedos que dominam a paisagem. Faz-me lembrar um pouco a Monsanto e também em algumas áreas da Extremadura (Espanha).

Hi, Tiago. A beautiful unspoilt place. The foreground with the stream and the boulder gives a very good depth to the image. Maybe it lacks a little contrast - although the colours look very natural - and some sharpening to make up for the loss of details because of compression.

Acho que tenho muito poucas fotos da Serra da Estrela! Este sítio parece valer bem a pena e apesar de estar um pouco inclinada, a foto ficou boa e apanhaste um tempo óptimo.
