Photographer’s Note

This is Saturday, October 11, last year. A couple of blocks of East Houston Street in central San Antonio with cleared of traffic. Along the street were a large number of street artists painting the pavements.

Hello Gunnar,

This is an interesting social document as well as a well conceived photograph.
I love the oblivious concentration of these young people and the colour and vitality of their clothes is repeated in their art!
The angled pov leads the eye into the shot from bottom l/h.

Hej Gunnar,
the matching of colours is excellent - the colours of the drawings and the colours of the clothes! (In this respect I totally agree with Beverley). Interesting lively daily life capture of the moment. Good composition!

No really "great" art but great colours ;-) I like that these youngsters aren't disturbed art all by the photographer. They are really lost in their painting - somehow touching. An eyecatching photo and drawing as well.

A nice POV of these young artists at work. Their clothes and the colours of the painting match each other quite well. An interesting glimpse of daily life in San Antonio.

Hi Gunnar, i prefer artists painting streets than walls graffiti. Nice scene. In Ajo in Arizona we also saw the contest for children with theme - International Day of Peace. What was the theme here? I like taht they are so concentrated on their work.

Olá Gunnar, this kind of street art is something I apreciate a lot and even more if it's a collective work. Excellent capture of this group working together with a good angle for the green man with a big heart, wonderful combination of colors including their shirts. Would be nice to see a general view of the street in WS...
