Photographer’s Note

We had a strenuous day the day before, and it was not easy to get up early this morning, before all the others in the hope of getting a decent sunrise, I did pull myself from the warm confine of my sleeping bag into the cold morning, put on frozen clothes as I forgot to put them in the sleeping beforehand and did the short walk to the laguna where I waited for a miracle.At first, the sun started to get up behind a mountain range, but soon after, turn around the edge and did its magic on the shoreline.What a way to begin a new day.Let's go back to bed........

La veille avait été une journée exténuante, et ce ne fut pas facile de quitter la chaleur enveloppante du sleeping, à la rencontre de cette journée glaciale, de mettre mes vêtements glacés,( ayant oublié de les mettre dans mon sleeping la veille, et de sortir avant tous les autres, dans l'espoir d'un moment magique.Le soleil s'est levé derrière une chaine de montagne, sur la gauche, laissant peu d'espoir, quand il a contourné les montagnes alors qu'il était encore bas à l'horizon, nous offrant ce moment éphémère tant désiré.Quel belle façon de commencer une journée.On retourne se coucher.....

It was worth the early wake-up to get this fine shot. The mirror is perfect and the composition is excellent with the rocks in the foreground. Of course, the light is very good and the colours are superb. Well done.

Bonjour Charles,
un encadrement élaboré qui donne beaucoup de panache à la scène qu'il contient, rappelant par exemple ses couleurs.
Magnifiques lumières qui méritaient bien quelques efforts matinaux, des teintes chaudes dans un climat froid. Une belle image bâtie sur la symétrie avec les reflets.

c'est rien de dire que ce paysage est absolument magnifique. L'image est très aérée avec ce reflet dans l'eau. la symétrie est belle , juste cassée par ce gros rock.

Hi Charles,

Wonderful on the composition, great reflection and the patches of sunlight on that hill makes the whole image shine. Soft sky on top brings a nice contrast to the hard colours below, but it's the composition what i like best with the decending hill towards the left side of the frame. rocks in front, on the far left another peak coming up...wonderful, a real good one.

superbe scène parfaitement "capturée". La lumière dorée et le reflet sont superbes. Je suis moins fan de l'encadrement qui pourrait être considéré comme "trop élaboré" et valoir à ta photo une suppression pure et simple (il y a des précédents)...

Well seen Charles, I love the boulders in the lake to keep the reflection from becoming a mirror image. The detail is superb and the golden color is almost sunset looking it is so rich. Great capture.

every aspect of this shot is just perfect. You simply nailed it. The composition with the hills leading into the image diagonally, the golden reflections of it and finally the detail of the rock to the left to balance the entire view ... Oh man this is gooood!

Quelle superbe présentation. Les péruviens oeuvrants dans le domaine touristique risquent fortement de vous offrir un emploie pour la promotion de leur pays. Des paysages captivants à chaque fois. J'aime bien les contrastes et les couleurs de celle-ci. La réflection est parfaite. La symétrie et l'encadrement sont vraiment magnifiques. Bravo!!!!

Hehehe, effectivement, les nuits sont froides en haute altitude.
Superbe réveil d'ailleurs, j'aurais aimé en voir un panorama :)
Les couleurs sont riches et le contraste impeccable, pas évident avec la lumière parfois en contre jour, mais c'est bien vrai que la meilleure lumière de photo c'est l'aube ou le crépuscule.

Bonsoir Charles,

Les réflexions dans l'eau sont des atouts à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs des montagnes. Elle envoie aussi notre regard vers les montagnes en arrière-plan ce qui donne de la profondeur à la photo. La bonne luminosité matinale rehausse les couleurs du paysage. Bonne soirée.

This is tremendous .. the light .. the lines .. the stillness .. wondrous image .. striking in a ll sizes from a thumbnail to a billboard I would guess .. tremendous!
