Photographer’s Note

Cows in the Penken Alps above the village of Lanersbach. The cows just came down from the field as I was approaching the shed which is quite similar to the one on the slope ... perhaps they were expecting a special treat. As you can see in the background weather wasn't too great for hiking. It rained intermittently all the way but not too heavy and still allowed some photography. Had to regularly wipe away water droplets & moistures forming on the camera filter. For more pictures of what can be seen from this trail click here. Will add more photos to the group.

Good placement of the cows in the picture and a nice, deep DOF. The cows really stand out against the hazy background.

Hello Latiff,
I think you are right. The cows most likely thought you had a treat for them. They posed quite nicely to allow you to make an excellent composition for your picture. Even though the weather was rainy, the contrast of color in soft gray mountains, green hillside and the brown and white cows is beautiful. It's very nicely done!

Nice diagonal composition with the animals in the logical focus at 1/3 of the frame. Colors give good idea of moisture over the place and animals.
