Photographer’s Note

Casa Milà is one of the major achievements of architect Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona. It is on UNESCO list of the world heritage.
It is located on Passeig de Gràcia, in the middle of Eixample district.

The building was built between 1906 and 1910. It is also called Pedrera, at the beginning in a pejorative way. Owners of the building , first refused to pay all the construction, finding it horrible.

Casa Milà is today one of the most visited monuments of Barcelona. Aaccess to its interior court is free, and it is possible to visit an apartment as well as the roofs, which were designed like a vast corrugated terrace open on the city, and where I took this image.

Barcelona is beauty. Architecture is on this proof on this picture. Something unique. pretty shadows. Sharp picture, there are good colours and well composed.

Cuando fui en diciembre la luz no estaba tan bonita como aqui. Es una cosa muy rara porque en verano es generalemente peor que en invierno. Me gustan las nubes y la señora sentado en la sombra.

I just bought my tickets to Barcelona and your photo is very informative.
I have seen this sculptures before but I didn't know that they are the roof of Casa Mila. Thanks for sharing,
