Photographer’s Note

Casa Milą is one of the major achievements of architect Antoni Gaudķ in Barcelona. It is on UNESCO list of the world heritage.
It is located on Passeig de Grącia, in the middle of Eixample district.

The building was built between 1906 and 1910. It is also called Pedrera, at the beginning in a pejorative way. Owners of the building , first refused to pay all the construction, finding it horrible.

Casa Milą is today one of the most visited monuments of Barcelona. Aaccess to its interior court is free, and it is possible to visit an apartment as well as the roofs, which were designed like a vast corrugated terrace open on the city, and where I took this image.
