Photographer’s Note

Recently I have visited Southern Egypt for the third time in my life; it is an area where boredom is unknown to a photographer.

I decided to present to my dear TE-colleagues mainly photos from the everyday life of these wonderful people living in the area of Aswan, the self named Nubians, and of people living in Luxor. They are of different modality compared with the people living in Cairo or elsewhere in Egypt.

Nice sharp shot, Michael. Very well exposed and sharp, with nice colours and shadows. It is a pity that both men's faces are hidden from view. Also, I wonder if cropping the left to make the picture more square would help, as the other man is really not quite far enough to the left to balance the shot well. But it's a good daily life shot.

Μιχάλη καλημέρα,
Ωραίο και αυτό το στιγμιότυπο δρόμου στο Ασσουάν.Επειδή είχα επισκευθεί αυτή την περιοχή πριν από τρία χρόνια, έχω την εντύπωση ότι αυτοί οι άνθρωποι ζουν σε μιά μακρινή εποχή.Μου αρέσουν τα χρώματα και το φως.

Michael, a moment from another time captured, well seen. This is one of those shots that could spawn an entire novel. Great capture and wonderfully presented, colors are great and the focus is perfectly sharp.
