Photographer’s Note
What are they looking at?, the answer will be in the workshop.
One thing I remember strongly of our trek in the Andes is the hugeness of the place, which you can relate with the presence of my friends, who, well, were waiting for me, what else. But what a view they were enjoying, so, no bad feeling. A very good bunch of guys they were, even if I did not knew them before this trip, we are now good friends.

Hi Charles,
great view from up tere... these white clouds must've been
moving quite fast I suppose?
Did you have any problems breathing up there (because of
the high altitude)?
Cheers,
Robi

I thought they were observing the speed of the clouds below. But, the lakes view was probably much more rewarding. Well done.
How did you organise your trip? Is it an effort demanding trip? For which age range?

Bonsoir Charles
de toute beauté ce cliché, on y voit bien toute l'immensité des Andes, tous ces nuages qui flottent comme de la ouate autour des monts.

Just keep trekking in the Andes fearlessly in high altitudes so you might (just might) get 6points from your distinguished viewers on this site. I could say more. Great, rare image.
Best, Jancsi

Hello Charles,
The location is certainly spectacular, and by placing the hikers in the very extremes of the image you have maximised the emphasis and effect of the huge mountains. Your friends provide the perspective of scale in the shot. Well composed.
Cheers Grant

Bonjour Charles,

Hi Charles,
Including those people....how little we are. What a majestic mountain shot and what a great mood with those clouds all over if they are telling you follow me. And although the ws looks also very nice, this photo with your new friends is wonderful to show the rough mountainside and it's scale...perfect.

Henk

Hello charles. What for a wonderful view into this magnificent mountain world. The group in the picture particularly pleases me. Also the red and yellow color points in the clothes lift the level of the picture. Very beautifully and worth seeing. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Charles,
A magnificent mountain scene that otherwise might be somewhat plain but taht is brought to life by th drifting clouds and the people on the foreground, giving depth and scale to the view.

Charles, this is a WOW shot, the scenery is awesome and the inclusion of the trekkers makes it a shot of exploration and a world known by few. Great detail and color as always and the squarer format is nice.

Charles,
This is a great shot of this beautiful place. The addition of the hikers in the lower corner is a definite plus giving us an idea of the huge expanse. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF.

Hello Charles!
Whatever they're looking at it surely must be interesting because the whole place looks amazingly wonderful! I was in Peru in 2007 and just loved the mightness of the Andes over there! You have captured this in here with an excellent pov, great composition, excellent sharpness and management of light!
I really like it and I'll go straight to the WS to find out what they're looking at!
TFS - Congratulations!
Warmest regards,

Oh, wow, Charles,
what a shot! That is a breathtaking view, even without the lakes. Those magnificent mountains that just go on and on, up in the clouds, spine-tingling depths... What an incredible view and you did a great job capturing the feeling of it, too. Fantastic shot! Many thanks and kindest wishes,
Shelly

Bonsoir Charles

Having suffered a bad case of altitude sickness once in my life, Charles, I am a little wary these days about venturing into high altitudes (especially as I am five years older than you). Therefore I look at photographs like this somewhat wistfully, wondering whether I will ever have the opportunity to see such views in real life. I suppose that's one of the good things about TE - you can see places through the eyes of other photographers. The wispy clouds drifting through the valleys accentuate the feeling of height in this wonderful landscape shot. The inclusion of the trekkers in the bottom corner provides a nice splash of colour as well as scale. Cheers . . . David

Hi Charles,
Wonderful shot, well exposed. It's breathtaking, with clouds dancing among the mountains. The people give a good sense of scale. Haha, I certainly can relate - my friends are always waiting for me too - when I linger and take pictures.

Hi Charles,
Even without those two lakes, the tourists are looking at, the scene is marvelous. It is captured perfectly well. The colorful tourist group is very appropriate here, making the picture looking more vividly and interestingly. Very good shot and the trip itself!
Best regards,

Great country, Peru. The Andes is a great region; the mountains are very impressive. I like that you incorporated the people in the picture; they give more "life" to it and are an excellent referal point to show the greatness of this landscape. The smoke is a great extra. Super picture.
