Photographer’s Note
Fogging is used to kill adult mosquitoes infected with the virus to immediately stop transmission. It is recommended as a preventive measure as it will be very costly to do fogging every seven days. It will not kill the larvae of the mosquitoes which become adults in 7-8 days.
The virus that causes dengue fever is called an arbovirus, which stands for arthropod-borne virus. Mosquitoes are a type of arthropod. In a number of regions, mosquitoes carry this virus and are responsible for passing it along to humans. These regions include the Middle East, the Far East, Africa, and the Caribbean Islands. In these locations, the dengue fever arbovirus is endemic, meaning that the virus naturally and consistently lives in that location. The disease only shows up in the United States sporadically.
To prevent the spread of dengue fever, you must first prevent the breeding of its vector, the Aedes mosquito. The Aedes mosquito is easily identifiable by its distinctive black and white stripes on their body. It prefers to breed in clean, stagnant water easily found in our homes. You can get rid of the Aedes mosquito by frequently checking and removing stagnant water in your premises.

hi Latiff
I see you use the great lens here for this shot and the effect is great for the f/2.8 and iso800. Interesting note and perhaps some good control strategy will avoid the spread. If you crop out the car, the effect may be greater on this composition, what you think? But the fog is dense and it adds a good tone to this photo. Good work.

Hi Latiff,
This let me remember the working teams come to my area, asking payment before spraying, sometimes RM20, sometimes RM60, but goverment say this is a free service, so that I never pay, then they tunjuk muka lah..........hihi.
Interesting composition to show a strong worker doing his work, but I think mosquito not staying on the road, good capture to the thick foggy, thanks for sharing.
