This Nepalese waiter at Killiney Kopithiam has been badgering me for a photo of him that I took some time ago. So when he brought my coffee the other day I asked him to sit down and smile. That gave me an opportunity to test my shot at widest aperture (f/4), longest FL (105mm), and high ISO (3200) with my new camera - Canon 5D Mk II. I wanted to see the maximum background blur and also the noise level at these setting. CPL was also attached to the kit lens. Shot under natural lighting. I'm quite pleased & surprised with the result. What do you think? I'm thinking of printing & presenting this one to him.

This lad has been away from home for about four years. He has a wife & child. He sends most of his earnings back home to his family in Nepal. His employer provides accommodation shared with other employees on the top floor of this shop house.

There are as many as three million foreign workers employed in farms, factories, construction sites, and the service industries. About half of that numbers are in the country illegally. Their labor has helped Malaysia build up the region's most successful economy after Singapore.
