Photographer’s Note
Unusual Spherical Reflection of the Garden of Soestdijk Palace
Soestdijk Palace is one of the four official palaces of the Dutch royal family. It consists of a central block and two wings. "
Although named after the village of Soestdijk, which is largely in the municipality of Soest, the Soestdijk Palace is just north of the border in the municipality of Baarn in the province of Utrecht. It was the home for over six decades of the late Queen Juliana and her husband, the late Prince Bernhard until their deaths in 2004.
The more traditional orientated TE-members can find in the workshop a much more classical image of the Palace.

Hi Rob,
An amazing shot. You really make excellent use of the lighting conditions. I guess that top of the signpost is sunlit and the background is in the shades. The stong colours are also part of the impact. Great reflections and a selfportrait. TFS and have a nice weekend!
Cheers,
Ulf

Hi Rob
A good abstract shot, with some interesting details visible in the distorted reflection at right. Good colour, sharpness, & composition. Tfs!

Hi Rob. If it were me I would clone out that dark smudge in the middle of the reflection ;-). Well seen and well captured. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good weekend, Paul.

Hi Rob,
amazing theme, good idea, fine minimalism with the reflections. An interesting garden and the fragment of architecture. I like it.

Yes, a little reflection in the half part of that very strange blue bulb, which looks like a giant baby bottle...
Very untraditonal!
All the best,

Bonjour Rob,

Philippe

You have a wonderful eye for details, especially if they hold a reflection. Now be honest Rob: are you one of those people who has to check himself out in every reflective surface!?? ;D
I also like the WS. It looks an impressive palace.

Hola Rob.
Another original shot with a clear reflection of a good friend, good strong colors and very good POV. Your WS is also good shot with a more classical image of the palace.
TFS.
Best regards and wish you a good week ahead.

Olá Rob, the polish surface and its shape is quite attractive. Or maybe it's more your creative picture that makes it so atractive. Being there it would pass unseen to most visitors. Very nice to see you in the middle of the view - this is much of your style and a very successful shot. For sure much more interesting than the WS - although I liked it as a complementar view showing the context of what we see here.

Bonjour Rob.

Groeten,
Lars
