The entrance of the Khazali Gorge in the Wadi Rum desert area.

The Wadi Rum desert is surely one of the highlights of Jordan. In a far past it must have been an area of lots of rivers, seen the canyons now present. In fact it is a large area full of wide and narrow (extreme narrow sometimes) canyons, the fruit of water and later wind erosion.
Man lived in it since ages ago and left some nice rock inscriptions. In this gorge - with water in it as it had rained a few days before - there are some intruiging examples. I should post an image soon.
