For a relatively small country Costa Rica has great diversity, with rain and cloud forests, mountains and volcanoes, 7 of which are still active, fertile valleys and beautiful beaches. The diversity also applies to the flora and fauna as Costa Rica has 5% of the world’s identified living species. This diversity is mainly due to the differing micro-climates from region to region. Whilst there, we experienced rain and cool temperatures in Turrialba in the Central Highland Province of Cartago; rain and humidity in the rain forests of Tortoguero on the Caribbean coast of Limon Province; warmth and clouds in the Arenal area of the northern Alajuela Province; high winds and clouds in the Monteverde area also in Alajuela Province; high temperatures in Manuel Antonio on the Pacific Coast in the province of Puntarenas, and pleasant temperatures in San Jose.
As well as some lovely views I have a collection of blurred wildlife photos on file.:D Slow speeds required in dark forests are not conducive to taking photos of moving animals without all the trappings of an experienced wildlife professional, for whom I have a renewed respect. However, I have managed to find one or two good ones you might enjoy.
I hope you enjoy seeing parts of Costa Rica through my lens.
