This is a combination travelogue of my several trips taken from Tokyo to Sapporo and back. I love traveling Japan by rail. To date I have traveled from Nagasaki to Sapporo by rail. Sure flying is faster but you can learn more about Japan from the ground. The straight ride from Tokyo to Sapporo is 10 hours leave Tokyo Station at 6:56 AM and arrive at Sapporo Station at 5:00 PM.
