Konkan is the West Coast part of the India, Arabian ocean. The land of Lord Parshuram. The land is full with coconut, cashew nut, jackfruit, mango and palm trees. The soil is brick red, and roads are very narrow. The reach to the ocean is mostly through the fisherman's house, as they their houses are almost at the seashore, and they have their fishing boats near by. From the crest of the Great Himalaya to that of Karakoram, lies Ladakh. Full of valleys, mountains, glaciers, and human habitation settled at various altitude from 2700 meters to 4500 meters. Along with Tibet Buddhism started in Leh-Ladakh. Perched on remote high peaks, these monasteries seem to rise from the formidable surrounding terrain. Buddhism hardly needs to be studied in Ladakh.
