In July 2004 I had an unusual opportunity to travel up to New York to record a CD with a friend of mine. My husband and I really hadn't made major vacation plans for the summer just yet so this sounded like a wonderful way to combine some work with a little vacation.

I had the pleasure of visiting the island of Dominica (pronounced Dom-in-ee-ka) in January of 2003 while on a Caribbean cruise. It is one place I would like to visit again. We had arranged an excursion in advance with a company called Ken’s Hinterland Tours. Our excursion took us north from Rouseau to Portsmouth along the island’s Caribbean coast.
