Travelogues

The travelogue features images taken on a recent trip to Northern Spain. Most pictures were taken in Asturias and Cantabria, with a few shots from Castilla y León and Madrid. This beautiful part of the word is somewhat of a national secret, being very well liked and often visited by the Spanish but not sufficiently well known abroad. This is also reflected by the poor representation on TE. The images in this travelogue represent much more informative travel photography than artistic photography and the timing was dictated by the requirements of the trip and not the quality of light. Wild Hawaii by Roland Roesler (1954) 2005-12-12 - 2005-12-28

A business trip brought me to Hawaii and I used the opportunity to explore a few of the islands for a week. I arrived there with the misconception that Hawaii would be nothing else but a massive tourist resort, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the reality was different. My first priority was to explore and the second to take pictures, and so the images were taken without substantial preparation and occasionally not during the best time of the day.
