DAY 1 – YANGON-INLE LAKE

We land in Yangon at 11 :00 AM. We change some money then hesitate between staying 1-2 days in Yangon or keep travelling to reach Nyangshwe near the Inle lake.

Considering the information we collect at the airport and the fact we are a bit tired after such a long flight, we come to the conclusion we’d better continue travelling instead of wasting the afternoon sleeping in Yangon. DAY 1 – AMMAN-PETRA

We landed at 1:00 AM and slept in Amman before leaving the city at 10:00 AM for Petra where we arrived 2h30 later through the modern highway. We reached the Petra Palace hotel (great place) which was conveniently located at the entrance of the Petra site (300m).

We dedicated the afternoon for a preliminary walk in Petra. We met Aaron a very kind Bedouin which made us discover few monuments. He suggested organizing a camel ride which would bring us to the Aaron mount where we could discover different landscapes and the tomb of Aaron, Moise’s brother.

I spent almost one year and a half working in Angola and only saw Luanda, the main city and few places within a 50 mile perimeter. I went there for my first job and it was an unforgetable experience. I still remember the evening I arrived in the old international airport and traveled on the dusty crowdy road through the city to my flat.
