I think we owe them a tribute, as they are the animals, after the oxen, that for many years, made our country side what it is now!
They are back in force now: A lot of land being freed by intensive agriculture, several people have taken a passion in breeding them again.
They are used for pulling riding carts, for keeping fields clean, or as my friend "Untrained" has told me, in Germany to work in forests as they sometimes reach difficult spots more easily, and they are less polluting.
