Bisti Badlands, BLM Wilderness Area, South of Farmnigton, New Mexico.

This BLM wilderness area, together with the adjacent De-Na-Zin wilderness, covers about 55,000 acres of badlands, within which can be found all manner of strange and fascinating forms of erosion. There are no paths, so what you'll find is largely down to chance - and how much time you've got to explore.
