Central Station Amsterdam is the most important station for visiting the center of the city. It is five minutes walking to Dam square for instance. You can take here all 3 metro's and many trams. Because of the new metro-constructions the whole place is digged up for a couple of years (till 2011) around C.S. station, and so it is a little uncomfortable to find your way here.
