Denmark has been a Lutheran protestant country for several centuries, but was christianised as far back as in 926. For a small country it has a great abundance of stone churches, where the tradition earlier was to build a stone church even for the smallest village or hamlet. These churches vary in size and colour and architecture, and the outside as well as the inside often tells interesting stories. This theme group is dedicated to images related to that particular subject.
