Sociologists characterize the Modern Era as the Information Age. We stare at screens large and small (a special problems for Trekearth addicts) throughout the day. I watch my students walking between classroom buildings with mobile phones in their hands, perhaps speaking to friends walking right next to them. But how ubiquitous is the scene of people looking at the screens of their phones!
