Ordesa National Park
by Pepito Grillo
Ordesa National Park,in the Aragonese Pyrenees,is the oldest nature reserve in Spain, founded in 1918 by royal decree.
Ordesa Park actually comprises three separate valleys emanating out of Monte Perdido, "the lost mountain." Carved out by glaciers, the valley is outlined by limestone folds brilliantly marked with bands of gray, red and yellow ochre.
