A smaller elephant was built for the anniversary of Jules Verne's death in 2005. But 2 years later, they brought out this huge machine which has been enchanting the people of Nantes and its visitors alike.
It's 12m high, 8m long, 45 tons, and carries 45 passengers for a 45' trip where the naval shipyards were, with an incredible view over Jules Verne's city. This elephant is the 1st machine of the ones to come, to bring back to life the former "Chantiers Dubigeon" which closed in 1987.
