Seems my first theme "Churches in the Alentejo" was just the beginning. These little churches keep attracting me a lot, so here's the second part of it.
I've become such a big fan of this event that I guess it's time to create a theme for it. The Nativity scene of Monsaraz takes place every year, at Christmas, when around 40 real size characters are placed all over the village, re-creating the Nativity.
In this theme I intend to include my photos of some traditional feasts in Portugal. There are still many which are not always easy to keep alive. Slowly, I'll try to show them here.
So, I'm finally creating a theme for Sicó, a calcareous region situated a little south of Coimbra and where there is so much to be seen.
I have several photos of the fields in this region, situated in the South of Portugal.I'll try to add more to these theme, to show the landscapes and also the way they look different depending on the seasons. Hope you can join if you have any.
All those who usually see my photos know this is my favourite theme. Why? I just love everything about these little churches, their architecture, their location, their simplicity. I can spend hours visiting them but I especially like the exteriors.
Pre-historical monuments are really important to understand our history and there are so many, some of them famous, others practically unknown. I've taken a few photos of dolmens and cromlechs and I thought it was a good idea to create a theme for them. Feel free to join!
Guess it's time to create a theme for Monsaraz, a very beautiful village situated in the south of Portugal. This is surely one of the most visited places in the Alentejo.
